CSIR NET Exam 2012 - 2013

UGC conducted NET exam 2011 is a gateway for fellowship and lectureship aspirants to qualify for the job. University Grants commission conducts the National Eligibility Test twice in a year for all those who want to take up either fellowship or lectureship for a profession. The exam is conducted once in June & once in December. The exam is enables the qualifiers to be eligible for career in either being a college lecturer or taking up research in the desired subject.. For candidates who are less than 28 years of age, the NET exam also opens door for the award of Junior Research Fellowship.

Next scheduled UGC NET exam 2011 is in June 2011.

NET Exam 2011 Eligibility Criteria

CSIR NET sets out the following eligibility conditions for the 2010, 2011 exam:

• A minimum of 55% marks is required in masters.
• Minimum marks for SC/ST/Physically handicapped categories is 50% in master’s.
• The university/college for master’s should be recognized by UGC.

Candidates who are still to complete their masters will be granted admission on provisional basis. Such candidates need to produce their marksheets later. But in a case where they are not able to pass the qualifying exam their admission would stand cancelled.

It is advised that candidates appear only for the subject of their post graduation only.

NET 2011 Application

NET application for the upcoming exams is available at the official UGC website. Candidates just need to procure the downloaded version of the application form and submit it as per the instructions given on the official website.

Duly fill in the form and submit it along with the requisite fee amount in any branch of the State Bank of India.

Candidates applying online need the following documents:

• Scanned passport size photograph in JPEG format.
• Copy of the Bank Challan

Post submission candidates need to take a print out of the online application form, attendance slip & the admission card.

Candidates belonging to SCST/PH/VH/OBC categories should enclose the attested copy of the respective certificate.

CSIR NET 2010 Results

NET 2010 results have been declared. Usually the ideal span for declaration of the results for UGC NET examination is 4-5 months after the exam is conducted. Result for June 2010 exam was declared in October 2010. Accordingly candidates taking the December 2010 exam should be expecting the results around April 2011.
