UGC conducted NET exam 2011 is a gateway for fellowship and lectureship aspirants to qualify for the job. University Grants commission conducts the National Eligibility Test twice in a year for all those who want to take up either fellowship or lectureship for a profession. The exam is conducted once in June & once in December. The exam is enables the qualifiers to be eligible for career in either being a college lecturer or taking up research in the desired subject.. For candidates who are less than 28 years of age, the NET exam also opens door for the award of Junior Research Fellowship.

NET application for the upcoming exams is available at the official UGC website. Candidates just need to procure the downloaded version of the application form and submit it as per the instructions given on the official website.
Duly fill in the form and submit it along with the requisite fee amount in any branch of the State Bank of India.

Post submission candidates need to take a print out of the online application form, attendance slip & the admission card.
Candidates belonging to SCST/PH/VH/OBC categories should enclose the attested copy of the respective certificate.

NET 2010 results have been declared. Usually the ideal span for declaration of the results for UGC NET examination is 4-5 months after the exam is conducted. Result for June 2010 exam was declared in October 2010. Accordingly candidates taking the December 2010 exam should be expecting the results around April 2011.
