COMEDK 2011 is the one of the most popular entrance exams conducted down south for admission the private medical and dental colleges. A number of students each year take the exam not just from the southern Indian states, but from all over the country. The entrance test is conducted by the Karnataka Private Medical and Dental Colleges Association. The COMEDK Exam is totally independent of any other common entrance conducted by the Government. Students seeking admission to the program offered under the COMEDK 2011, need to take the exam and qualify it for the desired program. Each program has a separate exam, on a different schedule based on the beginning of the academic session.

COMEDK conducts two COMEDK entrance exam every year. One is COMEDK UGET (Under Graduate Entrance Test) which is for admission to undergraduate courses (MBBS, BDS, BE, B.Arch). The other entrance exam is for Post Graduate courses in Medical, Dental and Engineering courses called COMEDK PGET (Post Graduate Entrance Test).

COMEDK Application Form 2011

Once the applications for the COMEDK 2011 are called, candidates need to procure the form, fill in the required details and submit back in the exact process given on the official website and essentially in time. Late applications are by default rejected by the COMEDK 2011 authorities. Complete set of instructions for filling up COMEDK application form is available on the official website. COMEDK 2011 entrance exam will be conducted in the beginning of the May month.

COMEDK Eligibility Criteria

The COMEDK eligibility criteria for UGET COMEDK 2011 admissions are different for all the programs.

  • For MBBS/BDS, the candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology & English for the last two years, with a minimum of 50% marks in PCB.
  • For B.E, the candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Maths & English for the last two years, with a minimum of 45% marks in PCM.
  • For admission to B.Arch, the candidates must have studied Mathematics in the qualifying program. Taking the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture with a minimum score of 80/200 is also essential.


COMEDK conducts a separate entrance test for admission to undergraduate courses in medical and engineering called COMEDK UGET. The application form for COMEDK UGET 2011 will be available in the month of March. Announcement of results for various program is notified on the website.

Once the exam is conducted candidates just need to check their COMEDK 2011 results to find out if they have qualified the exam. The results, as mentioned above will be displayed on the official website. On the basis of the score candidates will be allotted preferred colleges and programs on merit basis. COMEDK UGET counseling is the allotment process. COMEDK counseling 2011 will soon be conducted for those taking the UGET exam 2011.


COMEDK-PGET (Post Graduate Entrance Test) is an entrance examination conducted by Consortium of Medical Engineering Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) for entrance to various medical & dental post graduate programs. COMEDK application form for COMEDK PGET 2011 will be issued in the month of December 2010.
