Answer

Common admission test is a mandatory entrance examination conducted by the India Institutes of Management for granting admission in the management programs of all the six IIMs. Besides IIMs, there are other management schools too, which consider the CAT scores as the main eligibility criteria for enrolling students in their management courses. After successfully clearing the CAT test, you have to clear the group discussion and interview rounds as well to secure a place for yourself in MBA program. For details of CAT question format: CAT. All India Management Aptitude Testing Service (AIMATS), New Delhi conducts the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) as the National Entrance Test for admission to MBA and equivalent programmes of the various participating institutes. For details of MAT question format: MAT. Graduate Management Admissions Test or GMAT is a 3-½ hour standardized test undertaken by graduates who are keen to study MBA programs. This test is designed to evaluate the potential of students by assessing their mathematical, verbal and analytical writing skills. GMAT test, initially prepared for use by the Institutes/Universities of U.S. offering programs in management and business, is now used as a criterion for allotting admission to students globally by more than 1700 universities/institutes.
