50% seats still vacant in Maharashtra B-schools
There are almost 50% seats vacant in business management courses after the second round of admissions. Though these courses are very popular among students, the state’s B-Schools are unable to get more students to take admission in management programmes. Most of the colleges have completed two rounds but are still facing a problem to fill their seats.
The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) will oversee four rounds of admission in MBA/MMS colleges in the state. The admission sessions would be conducted in individual colleges to give admission to students in respective courses.
Though 18,496 students had applied for two rounds of admission, only 11,005 seats have been filled. All the students who are satisfied with the allotted college must confirm their approval for admission between 3rd August and 6th August, 2011. The third round of admission will commence from 10th August, 2011 and students still have fair chances to grab a seat in state B-Schools as there are almost 13,724 seats are vacant in these schools.
